Pittards have developed a leather process technology that imparts glove leather with resistance to chemicals such as oil, petrol and diesel. Initially the process technology was developed for fire fighters' glove leather to provide improved protection and safety, but the process technology is completely compatible with the WR100 leather product range.
The technology ensures that Parados leather has a high resistance to oil, petrol and diesel and not only does this reduce the risk of the leather absorbing flammable materials, it also gives the leather resistance to oil based stains. Tests have shown that the leather attains a level 5 oil repellence using the ATC 118-1192 test method. This enhances the appearance of the leather for a greater period of time and ensures that the performance of the leather is maintained for longer by protecting it from damage.
